The answer you found

If you are worried about your child right now, contact a health professional or emergency services.

Where it comes from

Does the answer name the specific guideline or clinical source it is based on?

Is that source a health service, a hospital or a professional body, rather than a forum or a personal blog?

Can you open the source and find the point the answer makes?

Can you see when the source was published or last reviewed?

Who it is written for

Does the answer say which age it is written for, and does that match your child's age?

Does it take account of your child's history, or say plainly that it has not?

Does it say which country's guidance it follows?

Honest about its limits

Does the answer say clearly what it does not know?

Does it say when to stop reading and get urgent help instead?

Does it tell you who to contact if you are still worried?

Free of selling

Is the page free of adverts for products related to your question?

Is it clear who wrote or reviewed the answer?

Does the answer avoid promising that a product or routine will fix the problem?

Answer the questions to see your score. It updates as you go.

Method: yes scores a question in full, partly scores half and no scores nothing. Each is weighted from one to three by how much it matters for knowing where an answer comes from, and the score is the weighted share, as a percentage. It checks the answer's sourcing only. It does not assess your child or any symptom.
